[App Review] Feedly
I will review the android application for google rss reader, 'Feedly'.
It is a essential app for google reader users.
My first impression of first screen is that its simple. It has similar design and layout with the Flipboard App.
I think it is more simple and easier than the Flipboard.
The side bar (Home) button placed the upper left. It is a short cut button of subscribed sites.
When you push the store button on upper right, you can find and add new content sites.
And I will explore the interactions of this app.
If you want to read the article-> Tap the article and scroll
If you want to read save the article for later-> Tap and Hold the screen
("The Saved for later" function is very useful, so I like this.)
If you want to close after reading the article-> Double Tap the screen
The people that use the Feedly app will find the interactions to be very natural as they are normal and intuitive.
When you login using your google ID:
You can see Today Feeds by Flicking, with both whole screen and List layout, and when you tap the article, you can read that (like a left image)
Tap the side bar button, you can see the Google Reader's categories. From the top, 'Today', 'Latest' and 'Saved for Later' is the menu that Feedly Providing.
When you tap the categories, it shows the subscribed site Lists.(like a right image)
If you looking for a good google reader app, I recommend the Feedly.
